Born Madison,
Wisconsin, June 23, 1941; admitted to bar, 1971, Idaho. Education:
University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.S., 1963); University of
Wisconsin-Platteville (B.Ed., 1964); University of Idaho (J.D.,
1971). University of Idaho Law Review, 1970-1971. Member: Idaho
State Bar; American Bar Association.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Baker taught
Chemistry at Blackfoot High School, until 1968 when he entered law
school. After graduating from law school in 1971, Mr. Baker
practiced in Caldwell, Idaho with the firm of Brauner, Fuller &
Doolittle, for a short time before accepting a position in Blackfoot
with the firm of Furchner, Anderson and Martsch, occasioned by the
nomination of the Honorable J. Blaine Anderson to the federal bench.
Mr. Baker practiced in Blackfoot from 1971 until 1980, at which time
he joined the law firm of St. Clair Hiller in Idaho Falls, with whom
he was associated until 1988. He was then a partner in the firm
McGrath & Baker, which subsequently joined the Boise firm of Imhoff
& Lynch. |
